A folk inspired Armenian 100% wool rug in grey taupe. Rukesh with Soumak 219 was handcrafted in Armenia of 100% aboriginal Caucasian sheep's wool. This rug was made by Tufenkian using hand carded, hand spun and hand dyed yarns. A field of whimsical folk-inspired images barely contained by the smallest of trims, like artwork for the floors. Large and small details make this a carpet where you will discover new things every time you look at it. The background color of sample Rukesh with Soumakh 219 is grey taupe, with accents of apricot, brown, brown taupe, moss green, tan, golden beige, and cool beige. The minimal border at the edge provides for a wonderful all over transitional pattern composed of transitional elements. The mix of rug construction techniques creates more dramatic definition in the design and an unusual textural effect.
